
With of it's ideal location in Dry Spruce Bay, near Whale Pass, Port Bailey is approximately four hours by fishing vessel closer to the Northwest fishing grounds making it a more desirable delivery location for the fisherman than the plants in the city of Kodiak. Many fishermen in the surrounding area that have traditionally delivered to Port Bailey, have a substantial allegiance to it.
The general facilities include a store, a fully equipped laundry, a complete machine shop and an infirmary.

The processing plant is located in four contiguous buildings and encompasses a large fish processing area with modern surfaces, modern blast freezers with the capacity of more than 200,000 lbs. per day, large packaging and warehousing areas, a cold storage with approximately 1.5 million pounds capacity, fish handling equipment, cranes and associated equipment.
